Arron Foster is an interdisciplinary artist, printmaker, and educator whose work explores the relationships between landscape, memory, and the shifting boundaries between personal and public space. Working across printmaking, photography, artists' books, installation, and time-based media, his research investigates how physical environments become sites of perception, narrative, and cultural memory.
Foster holds a BFA in Printmaking and Art Education from East Carolina University and an MFA in Printmaking and Book Arts from the University of Georgia. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in museums, galleries, universities, and cultural institutions, including major international exhibitions in China and Portugal. He has received competitive grants and research support from the Ohio Arts Council, Southern Graphics Council International, Kent State University, and the University of Georgia.
In addition to his studio practice, Foster is committed to teaching, research, and collaborative engagement through the expanded field of printmaking. He currently serves as Assistant Professor of Art and Visual Culture at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine.
